Before I begin todays entry I want to say sorry for there not being a 16th September blog! I stayed in bed all day, it wasn't a very good day!!
Moving on...
Today was amazing! I actually found myself thinking about how excited I was to blog about todays events.
As you all know from a few of my posts but you know mostly from yesterdays post that I had a three part surgery done on my right knee at the beginning of 2013 and that the surgery didn't go 100% to plan since I'm still having issues with dislocations and blah blah blah anyway, its been about 3 years since I last went swimming properly like doggy paddle or breast stroke and swimming directly under the water, there was a time in the middle of 2013 where I went to a physio pool once or twice but all I did then was walk back and forth in a pool for 30min so that doesn't really count as swimming in my opinion.
Today was very scary but exciting at the same time as today was the first time in a while where I went swimming! Maddie, Holly, Amy and I all decided to do Aqua Zumba, Zumba being an aerobic fitness program featuring movements inspired by Latin American dance but in water which adds a lot more resistance than it would doing a Zumba class that wasn't in the water plus its amazing for those who have bad joints like myself!
Most of us were very nervous as we didn't know what to expect or how many people were
going to attend the program, but like every other situation it turned out not to be as horrible and there was nothing to be nervous about!
There was only 6 of us in the class and I knew the instructor who turned out to be the lovely mother of a friend who I went to high school
with, I couldn't have asked for a more perfect instructor who made us feel comfortable being in the centre of a busy public pool :)
The program went for about 45 minutes and I could not stop smiling the whole time! If I had the opportunity to do this class 3 years ago I would have stayed at home refusing to go while freaking my shit but being there with the girls and having such an amazing instructor made all my worries disappear and I didn't have a single thought like "oh i'm too fat for this, oh crap that person is looking at me, everyone is laughing at me why am I here!?" For the first time in a very long time I was generally happy and enjoying myself which I am proud of myself for doing!
I am also proud at the fact that I was able to do 80% of the moves in this class! I went in thinking I wouldn't be able to any of the moves because of my knee but I did it!!
I am also extremely proud of my sister Maddie for giving Aqua Zumba a chance since I knew she was worrying about it being in a public setting but she seemed so happy the whole time and looked like she was enjoying herself and no body looked her way to judge her once, why would they anyway?! She handled herself very well and I am so proud of you Maddie, I know you read my blogs too xo
I want to thank the girls for coming with me and enjoying it! You guys being there made it 1000 more times fun and amazing than I thought it would be and I'm looking forward to doing it again soon!
I apologise for the bad quality photos, it was dark...obviously :P

If you're wanting to start exercising or you are wanting to do Zumba but are too self conscious about doing a normal class or if you have bad joints and don't think you can do normal exercise PLEASE do this program I would not recommend it let alone write an entire blog about it if I didn't think it is worth your time.
As cheesy as it sounds, It has truly changed my life for the better!
Thank you again
Byeeee!!
