A couple months ago I promised to write about some of the painting I had been doing recently and even though it is a few months late I'm going to keep that promise and show you today!
I have always been my hardest critic when it comes to anything I do creatively so making this post makes me quite nervous but I need to get past the nerves and just upload them!
Very rarely do I say I'm proud of anything that I but I am proud of final pieces that I created!
The first look my sister and I were incredibly bored one night so I decided to play around with makeup but I didn't just want to just do the same old boring makeup routine I do pretty much everyday so I came up with this....
To create this look all you need is:
- Liquid eyeliner or gel eyeliner
- Yellow, Brown, Gold Eyeshadow for shading the face where you would contour and apply bronzer, preferably matte shadows but shimmer shadows can work as well, you'll just need to build up the colour
- Mascara
- Metallic eyeshadows sticks or shadows in bronze, brown, gold for the inside of the spots
You're going to notice a lot through out this post that my sister Maddie is the model for any work that I do, and for that, thank you so much Maddie for sitting still for an hour at a time
♡♡
My next look was recreated and inspired by Madeulook by Lex on youtube, she is truly amazing and you should definitely check her out!
One of my favourite animated movies is the Nightmare Before Christmas so I died when I saw she had created this, so I thought why not give it a go!
For this you will need:
- Moisturiser, so the face paint doesn't dry out your skin
- Black and White face paints
- Black and Grey Eye shadows, preferably matte, if not you can always build up your shimmer shadows again to create the faded cracks
- Liquid eyeliner to line you're upper and lower eyes if you don't feel comfortable applying paint close to your eyes
Here is my finished piece!
My last piece was inspired after seeing Annabelle the horror movie.
I wanted to create a damaged fragile doll but I also wanted to incorporate the idea of Annabelle once being a human women...So this is what I came up with.
To create this look you will need:
- White face paint
- Liquid eyeliner
- Black shadows
- Mascara
- Glue stick to stick down eyebrows before painting over
- Coal Eyeliner
- Red lipstick
If I had to pick my favourite it would be the last image :)
I will be painting some more in the next couple months so I will definitely make an updated post on future pieces.
Thank you so much for reading todays blog and I'll write to you guys soon!
